Common buyer questions · Ice Cream Scoops
Why does aluminum release ice cream better than stainless?
Aluminum conducts heat roughly 10× faster than stainless, so the bowl warms from your hand and releases the ball without a water bath. Stainless wins on dishwasher tolerance and bare-metal hygiene — we supply both and will recommend per market.
What portion sizes can you supply?
From a 1 oz mini scoop for coffee and dessert flights to a 4 oz commercial dipper. Portion-controlled sizes (20/24/30/40) are available on the same handle tooling.
Is the zinc alloy food-safe?
Yes. We use Zamak 3 with a food-grade plated or coated surface, tested to FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and LFGB §30/31 per formulation. Zinc gives the weight and mirror finish buyers associate with premium scoops.
