Common buyer questions · Ice, Utility & Powder Scoops
Can one scoop work for ice, flour and candy?
Yes — our flat-bottom aluminum scoops are specified for multi-use across ice, flour, rice, grain and candy. If your market requires dedicated color-coding by food type, we can supply the same body in different colors so staff never cross-use.
What is the difference between an ice scoop and an ice shovel?
A scoop has a round or flat bowl with a short handle for portioning into glasses; a shovel has a wider, deeper blade and a longer handle for moving ice from a machine or bin. We tool both from the same alloy.
Are the plastic scoops food-contact certified?
Our PC scoops are molded from food-grade polycarbonate with migration test reports available per lot. They are the usual choice for flour and dry goods where a metal scoop would scratch the bin.
